IHCL Debuts in Rajkot, Gujarat with the Signing of an IHCL-SeleQtions Hotel

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of its first hotel in Rajkot, Gujarat. This is a conversion and will be rebranded an IHCL – SeleQtions hotel after extensive renovations.

Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “In line with IHCL’s vision to establishing a strong foothold in Gujarat, the SeleQtions hotel at Rajkot is yet another addition to the company’s portfolio in the state. Rajkot with its rich history and economic potential holds immense travel prospects. We are delighted to partner with City Organizers Pvt. Ltd. for this hotel.”

The 120 key hotel is situated in the city centre on Yagnik Road and is a convenient and central location from all parts of this growing city. It will house an all-day diner, speciality restaurants and a lobby lounge with a deli. The hotel will offer 750 sq.mt of banqueting space along with small meetings rooms. Other recreation facilities will include a swimming pool, fitness centre and a salon.

Atul Sheth, City Organisers Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are delighted to bring the SeleQtions brand to Rajkot in partnership with IHCL. We believe this will transform the hospitality landscape in the city.”

Rajkot is a historic city which has evolved into a leading commercial hub in Gujarat. It is home to many industries, educational institutions and medical centres. 

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 20 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands across Gujarat including four under development.
