Flavours of China

This new year, San:Qi at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai with the supremely talented Chef Lin Lin Yang, has put together a stellar gastronomic journey that takes guests from the bustling streets of Hong Kong to the surreal skyline of Shanghai, in one momentous feast. Diners begin with a stirring selection of salads, including a Sichuan Spicy Dry lamb with walnut and sesame seeds, and the more traditional Qian long Chinese Cabbage. Made-to-order are wholesome Gan Lian Cai Fried Rice and Wok fried Chicken in yellow bean sauce, while a Steam Lobster with Glass Noodles Golden Garlic sauce and braised King Prawn add an extra ounce or two of sizzle to this sensational menu selection.

This special Lunar New Year menu is available over lunch and dinner between 21st of January and 11th of February, 2023 at the award-winning restaurant San:Qi.

Traditional Lion Dances to Start a New Year

Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai will enthusiastically welcome the arrival of the Year of the Rabbit with the awakening of the lion performances. Commencing with the dinner service on the 21st, and continuing till the 22nd of January, energetic lion dance performers trained in the renowned Yau Kung Moon discipline will dance to the beat of gongs and drums, while weaving their way through the hotel’s courtyard and marching down the hotel’s tree lined front drive, dancing around the restaurant, and then making their way towards the hotel’s entrance. With strength, gracefulness, and speed, the lions shall perform stunts to collect lettuce, a symbol of wealth and good luck, sharing blessings of good fortune and luck with guests.

Widely commemorated across South-East Asia and the Far East, the Lunar New Year is an especially auspicious occasion for families, for whom, sharing a meal in celebration is an age-old tradition.

“At Four Seasons Mumbai, we honour the spirit of warmth and togetherness that is so symbolic of this celebration,” says Sunil Narang, General Manager. “After two successful years of celebrations, we look forward to welcoming you again to San:Qi to experience a delectable spread and a wealth of experiences as you ring in the Lunar New Year with your family and friends.”
