A key focus is also on the engagement of the local community at the hotel.

  • Choosing Eco-Friendly Packaging: At The Kumaon, you will rarely find plastic being used. The Kumaon actively tries to reduce the consumption of single-use plastics such as plastic bags, straws, and water bottles with their alternatives – Cloth bags, Copper/Glass Bottles and beyond. Whenever feasible, they select products with eco-friendly packaging – this includes opting for items with minimal plastic wrapping or choosing products packaged in biodegradable or compostable materials. At all the outdoor experiences, all the waste is collected from the guests in a bag by the guide and carefully disposed off at the hotel.
