Gokyo, India’s emerging adventure apparel and gear brand, has opened its first outlet in South India, located in Bengaluru. Alongside its flagship store in Mumbai, Gokyo products are also available in major outdoor stores across Maharashtra, Noida, Srinagar, and Sikkim. The brand is set to enhance its footprint in the South Indian market with the upcoming opening of another store in Hyderabad.
The new store, situated at LV Plaza, 7th Main Rd, HRBR Layout 1st Block, Banaswadi, is a collaboration with the upcoming outdoor and adventure retail chain “Mountains Within.” This location is poised to become the premier destination for adventurers seeking high-quality apparel and gear. Catering to everyone from seasoned mountaineers to casual hikers, the store offers a comprehensive range of products to meet diverse needs.
The grand opening took place on Saturday, June 1st, at 12 noon, with Ms. Vinisha Nero, former MLA, officiating the ceremony. In the evening, there was a Meet & Greet event featuring renowned Bangalore-based Everest climbers Sunil Nataraj and Venkatesh Maheshwari, co-founder of Gokyo. Gokyo now offers a comprehensive range of outdoor and trekking products, designed to support treks up to 20,000 feet

The brand name “Gokyo” is derived from Gokyo Ri, a peak famous for its breathtaking panoramic views of the Everest region. Drawing inspiration from the Sherpa tribe and Gokyo Lake at its base, the brand’s vision and mission are deeply rooted in this heritage.
To address the unique needs of each adventurer and to provide a first-hand experience of the exhaustive range of Gokyo products, the new store will also showcase Gokyo’s Explorer, Alpine, and Sherpa series, to meet varying climatic conditions and expedition levels.
Sherpa Series: Engineered for adventurers braving extremely cold temperatures from 10°C to -5°C, the Sherpa Series utilizes special fabrics with bonded and brushed inner layers to maximise comfort, flexibility, and heat retention.
Alpine Series: Aimed at intermediate adventurers tackling mild winter conditions and lower altitudes, the Alpine Series combines functional styling with protection against both cold and harsh UV rays.
Explorer Series: Ideal for beginners, the Explorer Series offers comfort and protection against mild winters and lower altitudes, safeguarding users from both cold and sun exposure.
