Method Kala Ghoda proudly presents a solo exhibition titled ‘Add to Cart’ by contemporary multidisciplinary artist Abhay Sehgal, a thought-provoking exploration of our consumerist culture running until 31st December.
Through intricate artwork,”Add to Cart” ultimately challenges us to confront the commodification of our identities and the increasingly blurred line between who we are and what we own. It invites us to question the narratives we construct through our purchases and consider the true cost of our desires.
The curation includes a series of such scenarios on how “hype culture” has taken over our desires and ethics. From feeling validated over social media to the unsung heroes of the fashion industry. As an artist, Abhay Sehgal has tried analyzing a few of the situations that have stood out to him. Each piece has an underlying story, making the collection like the treasure trove of short stories.
